  • Simpson Talks Contracts: "I'm Not Being Greedy"
    Newcastle United defender Danny Simpson, has reiterated his desire to stay at the club, if the price is right. Simpson, whose contract ends next summer has reportedly turned down several offers from the club as he looks for a higher salary, in line with other players.

  • Cahill "Disgusted" by Cabaye But Accepts 3 Match Ban
    Tim Cahill has said he is "disgusted" at the language used by Newcastle United midfielder Yohan Cabaye at the end of the game at Goodison Park on Sunday and that "his words have no place either on or off the football pitch." Cabaye and Everton's Cahill exchanged words which lead to a physical altercation after the final whistle, with Cahill being sent off for grabbing the Frenchman by the throat. Cabaye was also booked.

    Premier League Manager of the season Alan Pardew has led his side to 5th in the Barcleys Premier League, despite a disappointing end to the season. Newcastle, who headed out last weekend on a walk around pitch to thank the fans for their support, haven't left the top seven this season and are well deserving of their final place.
